My Story

Career Change To Become A Virtual Assistant

After dedicating my professional career to various positions within Local Government and Corporate enterprises, I was compelled to resign from my role in December 2024 due to health-related circumstances. I am managing a disability, specifically Multiple Sclerosis. In light of my situation, I have chosen to utilise the expertise I cultivated throughout my previous employment by establishing my own virtual assistant business, operating from Swadlincote. This venture enables me to work remotely, adjust my working hours, and effectively accommodate my disability.

I possess a genuine passion for collaborating with others and providing assistance as required. I excel in delivering high-quality work, ensuring accuracy from the outset, and consistently meeting deadlines. The sense of achievement I derive from supporting my clients is profoundly satisfying. As a professional characterised by trustworthiness, I am driven to succeed, underpinned by values such as integrity, honesty, meticulousness, attention to detail, and superior organisational capabilities. My varied knowledge and experience distinguish me from other virtual assistants. While managing Multiple Sclerosis poses certain challenges, I remain resolute in my commitment to not allow it to hinder my ambitions.

This transformative journey has heightened my awareness of the aspects of life we often take for granted. I am determined to advocate for individuals with disabilities and to champion the importance of inclusion within the workplace. With appropriate adaptations, it is indeed possible to maintain a productive career. Simply place me behind a desk, and I shall thrive.
